Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a Day of Prayer?
Given the current climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have postponed our Giving Day 2020 until further notice. Instead, we decided to use this time, while most of us are isolated from the outside world, to come together in prayer. We are hosting a 24-hour day of prayer on Friday, April 17th to celebrate and honor the birth of our foundress, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys. During this time of uncertainty we look to Marguerite to guide us, as she was a pioneer in the face of great uncertainty as she founded the Congregation de Notre Dame in the new world.
  • What is the goal for the Day of Prayer?
The ultimate goal is simple: the NDA community coming together, virtually, in prayer and thoughtfulness. In honor of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys’s 400th jubilee, we would love to receive 400 prayers or intentions to send out into the world on Friday, April 17th.
  • How can I participate?
Fill out this form to submit a prayer or intention and we will add it to our prayer wall.
  • Since Giving Day 2020 is postponed, is there a new date?"
Given the uncertainty of the current situation, we are unable to set a date for Giving Day 2020, but it will happen before June 30th, the end of our fiscal year. Right now, the world needs our prayers and our faith, however, Notre Dame Academy still needs your support this fiscal year.
  • Can I submit a prayer before April 17th?
Absolutely! Submit your prayer at any time and then tune in to the Day of Prayer website on Friday, April 17th to read all of the NDA community’s intentions and prayers
